Christian Education, Commission On - Purpose: To teach children, Jesus and biblical Christian principles; teach the catechism, self-esteem and recognition of other's worth.
Church School - Meets weekly on Sundays focusing on the needs of the children games, activities, discussions, and visual aids.
Class Leaders - Definite principal officers of the local church. Through them, the charge receives information and revenue from membership. A Class Leader is actually an assistant to the Pastor. He visits class members, instructs them, fellowships with them concerning their faith, and watches their health and welfare.
Evangelism, Commission On - Purpose: To reach the unsaved and the unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to instruct new members on the history, doctrine, organizational structure, and programs of the A.M.E.
Lay Organization - This organization represents all laymen of the A.M.E. Church with a progressive program of lay activities on the Connectional Conference and local levels of the church.
Marriage Ministry- This ministry is focused on the married couples or those couples contemplating marriage. It focuses on the uplifting and edifying of the marriage union while using biblical references.
Men's Ministry- Purpose: To provide spiritual growth in Christ Jesus for African American Men as they establish and supervise the development of black boys into Christian manhood.
Music Fellowship Ministry - Purpose: To give praise to God in song during worship services, using musical instruments, choirs, ensembles, and soloists. The music ministry consists of the choir directors and the presidents of the following choirs: Senior Choir, Young Adult Choir (YAC), Children’s Choir, and the Men’s Choir.
Prison Outreach Ministry - Purpose: To visit those in jails and prisons to liberate them from sin and guilt through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Steward Board - These are the spiritual officers of the church, charged with temporal responsibilities; they serve three tables- the table of the Lord, the table of the minister, and the table of the poor
Stewardesses - A collection of sisters, numbering not less than three nor more than nine, who assist the stewards, class leaders, and pastor in managing the spiritual and sometimes temporal, affairs of the church. But cannot be recognized as a board, as they have no legislative or judicial discretion, but are merely assistants.
Trustee Board - Trustees are church officers ,elected by the respective church congregations throughout the connection, for the purpose of holding the legal title to the respective church lots, church edifices, parsonages, school houses, cemeteries, and all other church property which belongs to the members of said connection.
Women’s - Women’s Ministry is led by our Rev. Kimberly Young. This ministry ministers to the needs of women through book reviews, bible study, and fellowships.
Young People’s Department (YPD) – Purpose: To make biblical and Christian teachings and principles applicable towards youth's growth and development and to ready them for a fulfilled adult life in Christ Jesus. |
